Privacy policy

What personal information TechMAC collects through this website and its products, including Go Digital and ABOS, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

01Who we are

TechMAC (technologymac.co.uk), 147 Ilkeston Rd, Nottingham NG7 3HE, makes Go Digital, ABOS and this website, and is the controller of the personal information described on this page. You can reach us at system@techmac.co.uk.

02What we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number and company when you book a discovery call, place an order, send an enquiry or complete a form, and anything you write in the notes or requirements you send.

Chat messages: what you type to Amber, our chat assistant, so that it can answer you.

03How we use it

To respond to you, arrange and hold discovery calls, scope and deliver the work you ask for, send invoices, and keep records. We do not sell your personal information.

04Google user data in our products

Go Digital, ABOS and other TechMAC products let you connect a Google account, if you choose. Connecting only happens when you sign in with Google and approve the permissions on Google's own consent screen.

What we access depends on the product and the permission you approve: Google Search Console performance and indexing data; Google Business Profile views, reviews and posts; Google Drive, Docs and Sheets files you work with; Google Calendar events and Meet links; and, in ABOS Communication, a Gmail mailbox you connect. Go Digital asks only for read-only Search Console access. The full list for each product is on our Google access and data page.

How we use it: only to run the feature you chose, inside your own admin. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except service providers that process it on our behalf to run that feature, or where the law requires it. We do not let people read it unless you ask us for support, it is needed for security or to prevent abuse, or the law requires it.

The use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs by Go Digital, ABOS and TechMAC's other products will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can read that policy at https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy.

05How we store Google data

To keep a connection working we store an OAuth refresh token for your Google account. It is stored encrypted on our server and is used only for the features you approved.

Other Google data is requested from Google when you use a feature and may be held briefly in a cache so the screen loads quickly. Cached data and the stored token are deleted when you disconnect Google or ask us to delete them.

06Revoking access and deleting your data

You can disconnect Google at any time from the product's admin (in ABOS: Settings, Integrations). You can also remove a product's access yourself at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

When you disconnect, we delete the stored token and any cached Google data. To ask us to delete anything else we hold about you, email system@techmac.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

07Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run the website and our business, such as hosting, email and calendar tools, and the AI model provider that generates Amber's replies. Amber's messages are sent to that provider to produce an answer, so please do not put sensitive personal information into the chat. Google user data is handled only as described in the Google sections above and on our Google access and data page.

Go Digital orders are processed through the Go Digital platform. We may also share information where the law requires it.

08How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, including any customer relationship, and for legal and accounting records. After that it is deleted or anonymised. Google user data is kept only while you stay connected, as described above.

09Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. Email us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

10Security and cookies

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. For how this website uses cookies and browser storage, see our Cookies page.

11Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
